One idea
Religious poetry can be written in the form of prayer. With this type of poetry, do not worry about rhyming. An important aspect is to emphasize the importance of Christmas, the birth of Christ and how God became man in order to break the shackles of sin. Do not try to write the poem your prayer with the natural rhythm or cadence. At the end of prayer, to add the gift of God’s plan of salvation, thank you, and then you can finish it, “Amen.”

Religious poetry should not be a serious and solemn. They can also be funny and light. This type of work usually sounds better when written with rhyming words. Pay close attention 
to every line has a rhythm. Each line must have the same number of strokes. The lines must be approximately the same length and flowing smoothly.
